‘‘Pocha’ means covered wagon in Korean. On the other hand, an ‘izakaya’ is an informal drinking space in Japan. By blending the two together, Pocha 254 has created a Japanese themed dining space and delectable cuisine. Much of what they serve is Japanese street food sold in a tapas style. However, Pocha 254 also caters to people who want whole meals. Their most popular item is the menchikatsu – a mix of minced pork and beef ball that is breaded and deep-fried. Much of the food is made in a Japanese street food tapas style. Also available at Pocha 254 are ramen noodles served either in soup or stir fried into yakisoba.
